Community Service Council Veterans Division Director: Rachel Runfola

The following initiatives strive to create a community ready for returning heroes and ensure programs are in place to care for them and their families. Veterans are changed forever by and through their military service to the United States of America and her people. While service members receive some of the best training in the world, the transitional journey from warrior to veteran can be deeply challenging for some. This requires a community-wide, actionable response to ensure veterans and their families never have to fight alone in the battle for home. Community Service Council’s veteran initiatives exist to help the Tulsa area best address the priority needs of returning veterans and their families or caregivers. Homelessness, lack of resources, lack of social connectedness, employment, depression, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are main priority areas.

Together our programs below strive to enhance Oklahoma as a “veteran-ready region” and to transform systems of service delivery to ensure none of our heroes are left behind.
