CSC’s SSVF Program Awarded Cox Charities Grant

In 2020, CSC’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSSVF) program received a $10,000 grant from Cox Charities to provide welcome baskets for homeless veterans who have found a safe and stable place to call home through the program’s outreach and case management efforts. SSVF is a is a rapid rehousing program funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs that uses the Housing First model to provide temporary intervention and short term assistance to very low-income veteran families who are homeless or facing eviction.

The program serves 35 counties in Northeastern Oklahoma, including Beckham, Caddo, Cherokee, Comanche, Cotton, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Garfield, Garvin, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson, Kay, Kiowa, Mayes, McClain, Muskogee, Noble, Nowata, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Payne, Roger Mills, Rogers, Stephens, Tillman, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington, and Washita.

This grant will help welcome veterans into their new home, and equip them with necessary supplies. Our team is very grateful to Cox for this generous contribution, and for believing in our mission of helping homeless veterans home.
