On June 24, CSC’s Rhene Ritter and Erin Velez of our A Way Home for Tulsa initiative presented at a City Council meeting at OU-Tulsa on ways to help end homelessness. The meeting was called by officials to address homelessness in South Tulsa and educate residents on what is being done to help end homelessness in the city. They said addressing homelessness is different in south Tulsa compared to downtown because there are fewer resources and facilities on the south side of the city.
As a part of the A Way Home for Tulsa Strategic Planning efforts, CSC’s team put together a list of 17 Ways You Can Help prevent and end homelessness. The resource was distributed at the meeting and is also available on CSC’s website here >
Fox23 covered the story, promoting the 17 Ways to End Homelessness resource in the coverage and linked the handout to their website.
