Oklahoma Veteran Employer Champion Network

Oklahoma Veteran Employer Champions is a collaboration between the Community Service Council, Warrior Partnerships of Eastern Oklahoma (WPEO) Employment Committee, the City of Tulsa, DR Consulting and Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs. The network was created to identify and build an employer network of organizations interested in recruiting, hiring and developing veterans in the workplace.

About the Veteran Employer Champion Network

The network offers employers peer-to-peer programming to learn how best to support veterans in their workforce while meeting the needs of their organization. To join the Veteran Employer Champion network, companies must meet six benchmarks (below).

Criteria for Recognition

  • Veteran Recruiting & Hiring
  • Veteran Resource Groups, Onboarding Program or Buddy Program
  • Veteran Program and Community Support
  • Veteran Employee Resources and/or Supports
  • Veteran Executive Sponsor Leading Veteran Strategies
  • Guard and Reserve Employee Supports

About the Veteran Employer Survey

The Oklahoma Veteran Employer Champion Network was launched with a statewide survey at the Governor’s Veteran Symposium in October 2017. CSC and partners developed the scoring rubric and survey process to carefully identify Veteran Employer Champions in Oklahoma and the Tulsa region. Data collected from the survey is below.
