CSC’s COURTS Program Graduates Largest Class To Date

On Friday, Apr. 28, 79 individuals formerly facing prison time graduated from CSC’s Tulsa County COURTS Program as an alternative to incarceration. The event was held at OSU-Tulsa Auditorium. This was the largest graduating class since the program’s inception in 2001.

The COURTS Program consists of four dockets – Drug, DUI, Mental Health and Veterans – that offer offenders a judicially supervised, coordinated systems approach.

Using court-supervised treatment in selected non-violent felony offenses, the program strives to successfully address addictions and improve lives, prevent repeat offenses, and save public funds that would have gone to the prison system.

The individuals who graduated this April have completed a minimum of 18 months supervised treatment, including required regular court appearances, treatment appointments, supervision visits and random drug testing.

Graduates also received opportunities to further their education, return to the workforce, or advance their career during their time in the program.

CSC’s COURTS graduations are held once every quarter, and are free and open to the public.
